The North Manchester wireless mafia are meeting up again.
Old soldiers and new blood always welcome.
Tuesday 17 June at 20:00. Venue is "The Three Arrows" as before.
See earlier notes for directions.
If you plan on coming and haven't told the mailing list, harry@shoka.net would love to know, though don't let that stop you coming on impulse :)
NYTimes are running an article on the work being done by EastServe.com, a project providing wireless internet access in East Manchester.
The article states that the network covers around 4500 houses, 930 of which have so far signed up for the service at a cost of £16/month.
There is also some interesting info on Netario's plans for Central Manchester - although there don't appear to be all that many deliberately open hot-spots in the city centre yet.
